Four Essential Guidelines of a Travel Logo

Travel logos are something which will return your hard efforts with a sizable amount but for that you need to seriously think if your corporate identity has all the important features to make a perfect brand mark. There are various features that can make this small piece of graphical representation a brand but this is only possible if these features are utilized creatively, from the side of a graphic designer. Therefore, let's graze through some of those features that are deemed to be crucial for such brand mark identities.

Colors:

Travel is often associated with blue and white which is the color of sky. The subliminal message channeled through blue is of confidence, success, authority, security and trustworthiness. Mostly it is preferred to be in light shades so that the preceding goals are attained easily. White is a symbol of purity and innocence. The meaning of white is "PURE" as well. Hence, the two colors are commonly employed in such brand mark identities.

Fonts:

Fonts aren't given a huge importance in such corporate identities for they are just there to convey the message. Usually text is only preferred when an agency's name has to be incorporated in these brand marks. Therefore, the only thing that a professional graphic designer keeps in mind while designing them is that they should be clear enough to convey the message easily.

Objects:

The employment of objects solely depends on the nature of business you are currently running. Travel is of so many types, you can either go by train, bus, car, air plane, ship etc. Therefore, you have to see which kind of service you are offering to them. Sometimes big agencies offer many services while some prefer few of them. Now if your services include air plane tickets then a picture of aero plane would be a great idea for your travel logos

Style:

Style has different definitions and from my point of view it is the overall essence of a particular corporate identity. The feel is obviously hooked with all the major elements discussed above so you have to make sure that they are complementing each other very well.

How to Make Creative Travel Logos

Traveling is all about fun, excitement and adventure, therefore businesses that deals in travel services should have colorful, cheerful logos, brochures and websites. However, this also does not mean that you should try to overload a travel logo design with a heavy mixture of colors or images. The main idea is to keep it visible, simple and yet at the same time cheering for a customer’s emotional state.

There are a number of travel logos that are pretty complicated and  thus does not reflect the essence of the blog well. The simpler you keep a travel logo, the easier it is to connect with the audience. Also avoid using the same old planes and ticket metaphors as images for your travel logo. Avoid using cliparts too. You can simply design the initials of your company in a suitable color and that would be enough for an excellent travel logo.

Travel Logo Colors - How Far Can You Travel?

Travel is usually associated with colors like blue, green and white. These colors represent the sky and provide the feelings of calmness and relaxation, exactly what travelers are looking for. The color blue represents success, security and calm while white mostly makes one the feeling of serenity and peacefulness. Green represents the lush green of nature and tranquility.

Travel agencies smartly use these colors in their logos as they will appeal to the audience. How many times have you noticed the logo of a travel agency? Perhaps not consciously but when planning your vacation, you unconsciously hire a travel agency who's brand image gives you confidence and provides you with a sense of security. After all, who doesn't want a safe vacation while traveling around the world!
